Light has been incorporated to bathroom faucets for quite a while now, why not then to showers too? This is the challenge that Hansgrohe gave to Nenedo, a Japanese design company. In return, the designers have come up with a surprising product, which has been presented at the latest Cersaie trade show in Bologna, Italy. The product is, according to the designers, is a hybrid between a lamp and a shower. The shape is quite unexpected as well, as it is inspired by an ancient lamp post. Overhead or wall mounted, this shower head gives the strange feeling of being bathed by water and light at the same time. This highly innovative design is very light, the “shade” of the lamp being made of very thin metal tubes and elements. The fusion between light and water brings a sense of homeliness to the bathroom, making the shower experience a very sensual one. The product comes in various finishes, like mat white or black for modern interiors, or chrome and brass for more classical ones. The new Axor LampShower brings poetry to the bathroom, transforming it from a purely functional place into a real living space.
