Roche Bobois and Vitra furniture fill this black, grey and blue living room. It’s an extremely unusual design: grey parquet floors, black ceiling and doors, blue sofa and kitchen. The open space, or great room, combines living, kitchen and dining. From Ganna Design, and located in Taipei City, the “At Will” house has design presence. The original cement ceiling, now black, provided the inspiration and the base from which all else flows. The parquet floor is a work of art unto itself with its chevron design pattern. They’ve used the perfect hue of blue – the color adds such playfulness to what would otherwise be a very dark room. And the light fixtures are simply amazing. They blend well with the style of the room – yet could easily steal the show in a less controlled setting. Can you imagine living here?
