Born out of rocketing real estate prices and declining livable space, this compact container prefab in Trebnje, Slovenia is an innovative design that takes lemons and makes lemonade – the ultra-modern ConHouse. It is the compact design that gained this home its notoriety, apart of course from its funky facade and eye-catching color scheme. The two-storey prefab mini home is assembled of two perpendicularly positioned containers, one atop the other. The upper container overhangs the main entrance, creating a shaded pathway leading into the house, as well as a shaded rear terrace. The unique composition of the structure also allows the exposed roof of the main floor to double as a rooftop patio, accessed by a sliding glass door. We’ve all heard the old adage “good things come in small packages.” Well, ConHouse proves that to be true. The compact design features a cool, contemporary interior with an artful winding staircase and floor-to-ceiling windows. ConHouse
