Modern Geometric Architecture – Urban Seattle Home

Modern geometric architecture has a place anywhere – even on a tiny city lot. Located in Seattle, Washington, this urban house designed by Pb elemental is characteristic for its cube-shaped base topped by a triangular volume – or, so it appears from the street. But there’s more to this narrow-lot house design than meets the eye. On further exploration, the rear view reveals both top and base extend backward to offer more living space and, because the house eats up most of the lot, allowed for a small but sweet private garden and outdoor entertaining areas on an upper deck accessed by the kitchen, while further up one level to the top tier, a rooftop patio awaits. Inside this geometric architecture, the aesthetic is “chic comfort,” with modern finishings and furnishings that are as fashionable as they are functional. The 2,510-sq.-ft. open concept house plan is ideal for entertaining, but unlike other open homes, this one still boasts a cozy feel thanks to its many levels – not to big, not too small, but just right. Rich hardwood floors and large wood-framed windows are a natural complement to the all-encompassing views of trees, city and sky. Pb elemental
