Talk about arresting design! This two roof house, aptly dubbed the “Lilypad” designed by Australian architects Jorge Hrdina Architects boasts twin, radial freestanding structures and a garden around which the house is designed. Between these two characteristic formations, the low-profile house plan makes the most of its negative space, as opposed to filling every inch with bricks and mortar, like its neighbors. The indoors mirror the exterior, forming a floor plan that flows with ease. At its heart, a sunny interior courtyard gives the house plan a warm, welcoming focus. And while this house was designed for full wheelchair access, this functional feature plays a starring role in the home’s fashion, with seamless indoor and outdoor living rooms that let you roll in and out without skipping a beat. This Australia home design certainly is a hotspot in this Sydney suburb. Jorge Hrdina Architects
