If this vibrant house design doesn’t wow you, nothing will! Award-winning Ankara-based architecture and construction firm Yazgan Design, which was founded by Kerem Yazgan and Begum Yazgan – both PhD architects – chose a vibrant orange hue that’ll stop you dead in your tracks.
But if the color doesn’t do it for you, the details will! Located in Ankara, Turkey, this three-storey, 1,050 m² house sits on a steep slope and enjoys views of the nearby forest and city skyline – it’s the best of both worlds. The overhanging roof provides a sheltered and shaded outdoor living area, while giving this interesting home its distinctive silhouette. A swimming pool and alfresco lounging spot is overlooked by sliding glass doors that blur the boundary between indoors and out.
Once you step inside, you’ll see that interiors are a clear reflection of the home’s bold facade. Curved walls, floor lights and speckled ceilings are a nice complement to the home’s contemporary style.
Modern, pop-art inspired touches appear at every turn, like the illuminated staircase that casts a colored glow throughout the home – main level and upstairs alike – thanks to the open layout.
