Nuvolone was originally designed in 1970 by Rino Maturi for Mimo Leone & C. and the avant-garde tufted and modular sofa proved to be a huge success. The sofa became almost mythical in appearance with its unforgettably visceral silhouette and left a lasting impression of all that was good about 70s design. The sofa was originally limited to the upholstery of the era but that is no longer the case. Mimo Design Group has restyled the Nuvolone with a new, sexier and far more glamorous outer skin of leather or ecologic leather.
The modular Nuvolone can be used singularly as an accent chair or combined to create a sofa and the ottoman can be used as a coffee table, leg support or chaise extension. However you choose to configure the Nuvolone one thing is for sure, everyone will want to sink into the super comfy tufting.
The deep tufts within the leather upholstery is a contemporary statement of casual elegance and the warm brown shades offer an organic appeal that is perfect for both Scandinavian and West Coast designs as well as urban country.
The all white version would look awesome matched with pop art pieces or used in a seaside cottage.
Silvery Grey is perfect for an industrial chic or rustic loft aesthetic. Whichever colour you choose, the softly rounded edges and deep tufting will be a welcoming and sinuous seating arrangement that will capture the hearts of everyone.
