Valentine’s Day On a Budget
What is Valentine’s day? It’s a day of LOVE. Love for your husband or wife, son and daughter, mother and father, your favorite pet, your friend or your neighbor… What is the best way to express it? Give them your heart with your Valentine’s home decoration on the budget… invite them over … and make them feel they are loved!
I like to create different themes. But my favorite approach is decorating on a budget, when you don’t have to brake the bank and your hundred dollars room decor looks like a thousand dollars. Here are some of my ideas…
I love candles for any occasion and especially for Valentine’s. A lot of candles in different sizes and colors. Pillar candles are very classy and create the mood… The more the better, I can never have enough of them.
I found these adorable candles by Debi Lilly in my Dominick’s and I couldn’t resist them.
And what can be more classy than white pillar candles from Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores.
String lights can create romantic atmosphere for any occasion. But these transparent Red Heart String Lights are just perfect. Depending on the room size you will need 1 or 2 sets. I’m so glad I found them. They are breathtakingly beautiful.
What kind of Valentine’s is without Champagne and flute glasses?
My German Heart Flutes are so unique. I found them at the World Market.
As for Champagne, on a budget, go with the sparkling wine. My favorite choice is the semi-sweet Emeri Pink Moscato Sparkling Wine (I like it sweeter) from Binny’s.
To finish my Valentine’s mood theme I needed more ‘love’, and Valentine’s red heart tree ornaments saved me, transforming my Christmas tree (that I still keep) into my Valentine’s tree.
And, of course, chocolates and roses. This part can be personalized to your liking. Roses don’t have to be red only, I like them pink and white.
Happy Valentine’s!!!
