Alessandro Isola designed a Miami Beach apartment in one of the city’s prestigious oceanfront towers, and it’s got a thing or two to teach about how to do minimalism with taste and style.
Characterized by bespoke pieces and white color scheme, the contemporary dwelling opens up to the views with wall-sized windows and glass doors. Separate furnishings double as display objects, while the majority of them are completely minimal and functional.
One of the main room’s showiest furnishings is a 5-meter (16.4 ft) tree trunk bench filled with blue resin, featuring individual seats. It sprawls throughout the kitchen, dining, living area and brings a piece of nature’s beauty to the clean and polished contemporary interior.
It also echoes other aqua accents in the decor like the dining room pendant lights and a gradient bookcase doubling as a display wall.
In the master bedroom white reigns utterly and completely, however. A fenced side wall not only hides the inbuilt lighting but also creates wall decor like we’ve never seen before. The platform bed comes with some additional space to serve as a daybed, rending bedroom more useful during the day.
Second bedroom is designed in a manner that creates clean inviting space without bunk beds cluttering the view. Soft leather wall panels cushion the play area for the kids. Soft ambient lighting enhances the natural light emanating from the room’s huge window.
Finally, adjoining the main bedroom is an outdoor terrace that opens up to Miami postcard-like sea views and invites to bathe in the sun on the warmest wooden plank floor. Don’t you just love everything about this modern home?
