This contemporary Mexican architecture by Micheas Architects is as striking for its modern style as for its functional, livable design. Inspired by the cubist movement, this unuque architectural design features a warm yet contemporary facade of wood, stone and glass, surrounded by a winding white wall that invites you in. Even when you’re indoors, this glass wall house offers a lush view of nature, with its open concept interior kitchen/living/dining room overlooking an outdoor entertaining area and yard. If it’s alfresco living you seek, you need only look up… but more on that later. Unconventionally, the architects put the bedrooms on the ground floor, along with a studio space, to balance work and play. Just outside and overlooked by every room on this floor, the garden is a great place to chill out, outfitted with a sitting and lounging area, or simply enjoy from indoors through the floor-to-ceiling glass. As you make your way upstairs, an upper-level terrace and a roof top deck are hotspots for entertaining, whether a large group or an intimate gathering of two, or one. In fact, the architecture was meant to incorporate social spaces on every level – fun, functional, and fabulous through and through. Micheas Architects
