Piet Hein Eek had this very creative design idea for one of their client’s foyer wall. They simply covered it with a bunch of old doors, cut and arranged to fit together like puzzle pieces that fill the entire wall. Some of them look worn, others look newer, some are plain, some have patterns. This quirky, rustic melange looks so great against the modern staircase. The idea seems simple but it is so creative, and probably something a DIY enthusiast could handle. The images feature two versions of the project – one with mainly white doors and another full of color. They have such a different impact but both are equally cool.
