This smart, small apartment design by Czech architecture firm A1 Architects sits on the second storey of a 19th-century building. With little changes to layout, the architects saved most of their budget for this efficient small-space essential – built-in furniture. The hallway also includes the bathroom – an interesting layout option – while the kitchen opens onto the living room, with a view into the bedroom. A small but sweet study enjoys privacy by means of a sliding paper wall. Adding punch to this creative apartment, the architects added bold splashes of color to make a big style statement.
