This Coliseum-like house has an incredible roof observation terrace. Can you imagine living here in Santa Maria, Brazil? Casa HLM has incredible views, even from the garage. Although to be fair, the garage doubles as an outdoor pergola living area and that’s where we’d spend all of our time. The bedroom and living both face the sunrise and the incredible valley view. A metal spiral staircase leads to the roof deck for an even more spectacular view. The white concrete construction material was molded on site and the floors and ceilings are natural wood. And there is such a magnificent interface of indoors and outdoors in this house – merging so smoothly, not really knowing where one ends and the other begins. That’s real design. You could even call it colossal.
