An Italian kitchen manufacturer Zampieri offers another contemporary linear fitted kitchen option to those who love minimalism done with a subtle style and elegance. Designed by Stefano Cavazzana, who specializes in contemporary minimalism, the XP 01 kitchen is highly functional in spite of its clean and simple design.
The first thing you notice about the kitchen is its color. And XP 01 is a stylish grey with matching stainless steel accents. The linear layout looks perfect for a long narrow kitchen that could not accommodate a kitchen island. But we can definitely see this kitchen in a more open area with plenty of space for a dining table.
What makes this particular kitchen stand out is a hot cooking top peninsula on a double-leg base. It is conveniently built at the side of the system. A thin, light working surface barely takes any space. And a metallic open shelving built in between the minimal cabinets not only provide display storage space but also echo the tech. It also provides functional space for the freshly washed dishes and where to keep the cooking supplies. The kitchen tech is built into the cabinets, which seems to be a huge modern trend. Both upper and lower units are sleek and simple in design.
Another special element of this design is a super sleek farmhouse sink. Shaped as a stylish rectangle, it barely contrasts with the countertops or drawers. And a matching minimalist rounded tap punctuates its smart geometric shape. Speaking of drawers, these are pre-organized to keep the cutlery and pots and pans hidden but well-organized.
Though contemporary kitchens look largely the same, it is subtle design elements like these that can really make a system stand out.
