Guaruja House by Brazil’s Bernardes Jacobsen architecture firm is your modern beachfront paradise. Set high on a lush hill overlooking the ocean coast, this amazing luxury beach house was designed for a vacationing family and their lucky invited guests. A large, flat platform was constructed on the sloping land, supported by five pillars, preserving the natural vegetation that surrounds this pavilion-style house. Atop the deck, an outdoor entertaining area offers fabulous views in all directions and surrounded by treetops reaching up from below. Interiors have a unique downward design. The entry foyer appears on the second level, along with two ensuite bedrooms. The lower level is occupied by the kitchen, a service area, staff quarters, a gym, steam bath and four bedrooms. Enclosing the home, wood and glass blend beautifully with the surroundings. A pool seems to flow off the edge of the hill and into the ocean below. Bernardes Jacobsen Arquitetura
