Living in this modern loft must be fun! Australian architecture firm Edwards Moore designed this cool, contemporary loft extension in Fitzroy, Melbourne that can only be described as “shabby-chic”. The largely open-concept home features decidedly high-end, luxurious-looking elements like concrete and reflective surfaces juxtaposed against the exposed oriented strand board furniture and built-ins (which takes on its own unique charm in this creative context), making this compact home literally the definition of shabby-chic. Throughout, one quick look and you’ll understand why it’s called the Cubby House – a collection of built-in shelving and cubby units offer plenty of stylish storage – a must in a small home. And bringing multi-function to this space, we love the bathtub in the master bedroom! Edwards Moore
