Check out this old farmhouse with addition, designed by Seattle-based architecture firm Pb Elemental. The home combines old and new for an unusual house plan for work and play. The original farmhouse cottage style, circa 1906, was revamped with a modern addition housing the master suite, family room and dining area. A fireplace feature is a modern touch to the contemporary new space. Just outside the massive glass walls, outdoor entertaining areas capture breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valley, providing a mini getaway for the homeowners who run their business from this home. In fact, this live work house is more than just a single-family residence – it also accommodates a ski team run by the homeowners during the season. Pb Elemental Architecture
