This lodge has the perfect little hideout and sleeping nook! Can’t you just see yourself curled up with a good book (or iPad), headphones on listening to music? What a relaxing way to spend the morning. The V Lodge, by Reiulf Ramstad Architects, is a private residence in Buskerud, Norway and was built in 2013. It is a beautiful forest home, open to nature with vast floor-to-ceiling windows. The sleeping nook is what really caught our eye, here. A daybed by day and a bed by night. We love the reading lights – you can point them wherever you want to snuggle right in. Could be a great DIY idea – the whole interior is bare plywood sheets. But it works – and gives the lodge a Scandinavian flavor. When you DIY, be sure to pick the best quality plywood and hand-pick each sheet for its design. And position your lights in convenient spots, add an electric outlet and you’re almost done. A touch of Norway in your own home!
