What a fantastic table and chair set from Emu, designed by Jean Nouvel. Suitable for both indoors and out, the big surprise with this set is how little space it takes when you aren’t using it. The chairs stack, the table tilts 90 degrees to line up with each other. The chairs are available with or without arm rests, you can choose higher stools and the table is round or square top. It’s also available in a few colors, although as you can tell, we like the red. They are extremely lightweight and easy to stack and store. The frame is painted steel, the chair and seat back, painted aluminum, making them perfectly suited for outdoor or indoor use. They’d be great to have around for when the whole family comes over and you need more seats at the dining room table! The stylized geometric base adds an unexpected design element. Extremely durable, and practical, this Italian-built (French architect-designed) set would look incredible in the breakfast nook – or on the master bedroom Juliette balcony, don’t you think?
