This spiral house architecture was made as much for man as for nature, in the form of the breathtaking vistas here and taking a “radial” floor plan. This stilt home designed by Joeb Moore + Partners Architects sits on the Connecticut shore of Long Island Sound, overlooking water and nature in every direction. The wood clad house is a nice complement to its natural surroundings, featuring this earthy facade and large expanses of glass that invite nature in on a whole other level – the scenery! This beachfront home was made for function, socialization and appreciation of the waterfront views, with a geometry that makes it really unique. Dubbed the Spiral House, its radial organization has a connection to the tides, the water, the waves, and results in a “spiral” floor plan that leads through public and private living spaces, and seamlessly flows onto outdoor entertaining areas.
