This vintage style kitchen mixes retro décor with industrial – and it really works. Interior designer Rotem Guy created this remarkable space by renovating – and expanding – a tiny 1950s house in Israel. The orange fiberglass chairs are perfect for this room and add just the right splash of color. We’re in love with the pendant lights over the island/breakfast bar. If they don’t say industrial, we don’t know what does. And using fruit crates and boxes for storage under the work island – how clever is that? And speaking of clever, isn’t that firewood storage space unusual? There’s something so casual and down home about this place – but that touch of industrial flair elevates it to something extraordinary. We can imagine sitting in this kitchen with a coffee for a nice long chat with a friend. And that’s a successful design.
